In a bid to sensitize the population and help communities fight Malaria, the proprietor of Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery(VSNM) Dr Isaac Orech has kicked off a campaign dubbed Community Involvement and Empowerment in the fight against Malaria assessment.

Dr. Orech said this exercise involves radio talkshows where students of VSNM showcase their deep knowledge of malaria as speakers on the show where participants through phone calls walk away with branded mosquito nets.

"I now call upon the children, expecting mothers, lactating mothers and the elderly to always sleep under a treated mosquito net", Dr. Orech added.

Among recent participants, Lira district councillor representing the elderly at the district council, Apio Cerina Otim has on Thursday February 22 received the Victoria Super Insecticide treated mosquito net from Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery campus.

Apio Cerina, a resident of Punu Anyeri, Ayami sub county in Lira district is one of the 10 beneficiaries who participated in a radio talk show dubbed Community Involvement and Empowerment in the fight against Malaria assessment exercise.

The exercise is piloted by Dr Isaac Orech, the Director of Victoria School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Good Care Medical Centre.
